Healthier Football Appetizers

Football season is here and I am loving every bit of it! I have a fairly competitive nature, so of course, football viewing is a great past time for me, and you can't have football watching without snacks and appetizers... It can be easy to stay on plan + have tasty football apps, here are some of my faves!

Buffalo Cauliflower

Who doesn't love something smothered in hot sauce? Ok, so maybe not everyone, but I am a HUGE fan. If you're looking for a lower calorie, vegetarian option, buffalo cauliflower is great. The best part, it's super simple to make. Just preheat the oven to 400, prep a baking sheet and toss chopped cauliflower with olive oil and your favorite hot sauce. Once the oven is preheated, throw them in for 25-30 minutes, shaking/stirring the pan halfway through.

Baked Wings

Baking, instead of frying your wings makes them loads healthier! Plus you'll save on calories if you go with a dry rub, instead of a sauce. I've posted this recipe before and swear by it. Click here to check out the full, quick & easy baked wings recipe I use.

Shrimp Ceviche

Looking for fresh flavor? Ceviche is a lime, shrimp, onion and tomato dish that is to die for! It's also fairly easy to make and can be eaten straight or as a dip with chips. There are plenty of recipes out there to try, but we just make it with chopped shrimp, tomato, onion, cilantro and all the lime juice. Try making it the night before so the shrimp and veggies can soak up all the lime juice!

Ground Turkey Taco Dip

I've talked about it a lot as a taco bowl or taco filling option, but guess what, it also makes a great dip! My ground turkey taco bowl recipe can easily be repurposed as dip for tortilla chips. Just follow the recipe here, and serve it in a large serving bowl with a side of chips.
