DIY Face Masks

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and because of that I decided to dedicate this month to all-things self-care. If you've been following along with my May Self-Care Challenge, you'd know that I do a lot of face masks. Generally I use store bought face masks, but in an effort to save money, you can also create your own face masks. Here are some of my favorites:

Acne & Blemish Fighting Mask:

What You'll Need:

1 tbsp. honey

1 tsp. turmeric

1/2 tsp. Dead Sea salt

Combine and apply to any problem areas. Leave it sitting for 10-15 minutes and rinse with luke-warm water.

Pore Minimizing Mask:

What You'll Need:

1 egg white

1 tbsp. honey

1 squeeze lemon juice

Mix together and apply to your face. The honey & egg white have stringent powers that will help tighten your skin.

ACV Toner:

What You'll Need:

1 Spray bottle

3 parts water

1 part organic apple cider vinegar

Combine the water and ACV in the spray bottle and spray directly onto your face or onto cotton pads and dab your face. The combination will act as a natural face toner.
