28 Days Sober - Week 1 Complete
Following in suit of Kaitlyn Bristow and other social media stars, I have decided to go 28 days no alcohol. That doesn't just mean cutting hard alcohol, everything. No wine, beer, liquor, etc. In the past 6 months I have worked to cut my drinking down to 3-5 times per month, so this hasn't been too difficult of a transition for me. The hardest was no wine on Valentine's Day, but I quickly got over that when my boyfriend brought home sparkling cider. To be honest, my craving for popcorn is much stronger than my craving for alcohol.
Have I seen any changes? Not particularly yet. But this is likely because I wasn't drinking all that much before this anyways. The biggest notice I've made is a lack of cravings after the 3rd or 4th day. I have noticed my body slowly starting to digest food more quickly, so likely my liver is working better.
My plan is to go a minimum of 28 days, and then continue until I've lost a total of 15 pounds. Starting this February 11th gives me two months to lose the weight before Coachella. So best of luck to me, I am sure I can do it by then!
