May Challenge: Meditation

Because I need it...

Meditation has always been a great way for me to calm my mind and ease the tension in my body. I'm notorious for holding stress in my body, specifically in my shoulders, neck and stomach. The stomach one is a more recent thing, but painful nonetheless. Meditation allows me to focus on easing this tension and forces me to let go of stress by visualizing a time and place that makes me feel calm.

So what does the meditation challenge look like? I will practice meditation every day in the month of May for at least 10 minutes per day. During this time I won't have access to my phone or any forms of messaging. I will make sure to sit in a quiet space, without interruption. I can track any potential progress by journaling about my overall mood and also tracking my resting heart rate. It's important to note that my resting heart rate is already pretty low due to my lifestyle, but I still might see some progress.
