Because it was my first new program trial, I wanted something that I thought would ease me back into their workouts. Joke's on me because this Barre program is intense! Overall I really enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting to be able to use as much ballet technique from my dance days, but I'm glad I was able to use that experience.
I would say that having a background in dance helped me pick things up much more quickly and if you didn't have a background in dance you'd either have to be watching the moves as they were called out or you'd want to do the ballet technique / terminology videos first.
What I Liked: The program is great about working out the full body and even hitting muscles you forgot you had. It's also a great combination of strength training and muscle building, similar to ballet.
What I Didn't Like: The program is full-body. If I knew going into it it wouldn't have been a problem, however there were a decent number of leg and booty workouts and I'd just had a leg day the day before so I was feeling sore already.
