February Challenge Recap

Another first of the month = another monthly challenge in the books!

I actually really enjoyed this challenge because it helped to boost my confidence and gave me a little reminder each morning to love on myself. It is vital to your mental and emotional health to engage in daily affirmations as often as humanly possible. I'd go as far as to say it's even more important if you suffer from anxiety and/or depression.

Why is it so important? It reminds us of all of the good things about ourselves that we can celebrate. Negative self-talk is a pesky thing that has a tendency to creep up on us if we are not careful and positive affirmations are a great way of combating that negative self-talk.

Why the morning? Really you can do this anytime, I just prefer the morning because it helps put me in a great headspace to start off the day. Starting of the day with negative self-talk usually puts me in a crummy mood, whereas starting with positive affirmations helps me to feel confident and self-assured.

I invite you to try positive affirmations every morning, even if that means only starting with 2-3 and building up to more as time goes on! If you try it out, let me know how it goes for you.
